Pens of Hope
4 Jun
Do you still remember the first day you went to school? Were you excited when you entered your classroom the very first time in your life? Well, as of me, I really was. I can still recall those moments 17 years ago, everything still fresh in my mind. Carrying my knapsack, a pencil, a notebook and a set of grade 1 paper inside and some snacks and of course a peso in my pocket – which made that day perfect. My mom accompanied me to school, since dad had work. Oh that was my first day of school!
Maybe, just maybe I was a bit lucky, that despite of our situation, still our parents were able to buy us school supplies. We’re not rich though, we also struggle in life – “financially speaking”. Lucky enough that I was committed to my studies, full dedication and was given full moral support from family. Everyday became very exciting to me at school. I flew with colors during my preschools, elementary and secondary as well. Unfortunately, for some simple yet complex scenario that is going on right now, I wasn’t able to finished my college yet. But, one thing I know for sure, even if I am not successful with my college as of now, I still believe that I am in some ways around.
Well, enough for my story, let’s take a look to our surroundings. Do you see what I see? Definitely maybe. Open your eyes and you’ll see. Poverty has become a major problem forever. As a result, there are a lot of children who are unable to go to school. Some of them could be the next big man in the country, but how could this be possible if their family only have money enough to sustain their daily basic needs? Where are the hope of the nation as Jose Rizal told us. Are they still the hope?
Because of that, a concern citizen opened his eyes to his fellow and conducted this program “Pens of Hope”. Your pen might changed someone’s life. For full reference, see main post: “Pens of Hope”

Hello there!
Spreading the word about Pens of Hope is such a big help. Thank you so very much for this. Bless you for your kind heart.
Sorry for the delay in visiting you back. I stayed in the office for few days, day and night, and firewall kept me from accessing your site. Ang nakalagay na reason for blocking your site is “pornography” daw hehehe. Glad that I am home now and can access your blog.
Maraming salamat uli.
