Beyond the Norms

Yes, you read it right. I already bought a DSLR camera. It’s Nikon D3000. So how did I end up buying one? Lemme just recall. Okay, it was early in October when I decided to buy a camera for myself. My initial target date was January next year or May if I won’t be able to hit the target date. But luckily, and yeah it was unexpected, when October ended, my Google adsense after a year reached 103USD, (not that much though. and it’s my first pay out after a year of using this service). Then I checked my Paypal account, I got 270USD, earned from writing online reviews, in both local and international. I withdrawn 260USD from it plus the 103USD of Google ads, so I got a total of 363USD. Not sufficient to buy a DSLR? Thanks to the 14th month bonus from the company. Tenured agents were given 12K. Total money in my pocket that time was PHP 30K. Good enough to buy a DSLR camera.

The search for the right brand:

I am into Nikon since I started using DSLR.Thanks to Sinjin for letting me try his D40 and D90 during those times. As a beginner, I just wanted to have Nikon D40, but it’s already obsolete, so with Nikon D60. I was strolling at SM City Cebu Cyberzone and was supposed to buy the Canon 1000D for Php. 31K, but I still have thoughts that time, hoping to own a Nikon DSLR camera. On the next day I called Pixel Pro, Parkmall and inquired how much is there Canon 100oD, in the middle of our conversation, I told her that I really prefer Nikon, and she told me they have Nikon D3000. After our conversation, I went online and read articles about Nikon D3000, it’s feature and the likes.

The decision:
I asked some of my friends about their opinion with this Nikon D3000 and they all were positive! Bought it last Friday December 18,2009. Way to go ND3000!
