Not just an ordinary Misa de Gallo experience

December 23, 2009, Wednesday: 8th day of the Misa de Gallo. I together with some of the Cebu Bloggers, were invited by Miss Janette Toral to join the “Kraft Eden Cheese: 9 Days of Cheese-mas with Keso de Gallo” which took place at Fatima Church, Basak, Mandaue City.
As we all know, Misa de Gallo (dawn mass) is a tradition that only happens in the Philippines which starts every 16th of December and ends by the 24th, basically 9 consecutive dawn masses or some call it 9 Mornings. Parallel to that, Eden brought the goodness of Filipino dishes to Pinoys in nine different towns of the country including Bacolod City, Iloilo, Davao, Cagayan de Oro, Naga, Butuan City, Laoag, Cebu City and Pampanga. 9 Days of Cheese-mas with Keso de Gallo is a way of saying thank you and sharing the blessings to the people by the Kraft Eden Cheese team.
Mixed Vegetable Maja Con Keso - the winning dish by (I failed to take not the name my bad) a Cebuana teacher. The ingredients? You might be suprised! It is made with vegetables such as malunggay, squash, carrots and monggo of course to make it more yummy and delicious, Eden cheese is included!
Breakfast at Shangrila’s Mactan Resort and Spa: After the session at Fatima church, the organizers brought us to Shangrila’s Mactan Resort and Spa where we had our breakfast. And btw, it was my first time to step on to the place. First times are always worth remembering (lol). The foods were all yummy and the place was nice! Looking forward of going back there!
Photo contest: One of the highlights of the event was the photo contest. Entries were taken during the Misa de Gallo and Keso de Gallo without any post-processing at all. Submitted to and judged by Geiser Maclang, Kraft Eden Cheese team and Miss Janette Toral. Luckily, I won the 4th and 3rd place! And I forgot which photos I submitted. (LOL). The prizes were pretty cool + I got some gifts from Miss Janette.
Again, thanks to Geiser Maclang, Kraft Eden Cheese team and Miss Janette Toral for inviting us to a memorable event! “It was not just an ordinary Misa de Gallo experience, but extraordinary! Merry Christmas!”

Eden Cheese is the best of the processed cheeses here in the Philippines, but still compared to real cheeses from around the world Eden Cheese just doesn’t cut the cheese (pun intended)
That said it is a good substitute for everyday use…
