December 8, 2011 – Twitter has launched a new design and layout so that the microblogging site will be easier and simpler to use via smartphones. It introduced new tabs as follows: Home, Connect, Discover and Me, which are fully explained at fly.twitter.com and will be available to all Twitter users in the next few weeks .
The new Twitter features serve its purpose as follows:
- Home – it shows tweets from the people the user chose to follow, personal collection of tweets, the latest news, commentary and information from various sources.
- Connect – it shows who has followed/mentioned the user, retweeted/ favorited one of the tweets, which is a way for users to keep the conversation flowing.
- Discover – it shows results reflecting one’s interests based on the current location of the user. Furthermore, users can use a “#hashtag” to discover all of its related stories, conversation and content.
- Me - this tab will show your profile section and everything about the user’s information including the user’s photo, interests, location, website or blog, and where people can tweet the user directly.
Aside from these new tabs, Twitter new design also has updated its buttons graphics to fit well with the all new twitter layout and design.

Step 1: Install or Update the Twitter App on your iOS Device (iPhone, iPod Touch or iPad).
Step 2: Visit the Twitter website on your computer and login to your Twitter account.
Just a few reminders though, it could take few minutes for the new twitter design to display. Just clear/cache and cookies and delete browsing history.
