Ms. Karla Paula Henry from our very own Philippines was crowned as Miss Earth 2008 during the Coronation Night held at the Clark Expo Ampitheater in Pampanga last evening November 09, 2008 Philippine time.

Her very inspiring answer to the final question ( what she would tell US president-elect Barack Obama about the state of the global environment if ever they were to meet ), which I believe made her to the top beating the 3 other finalist . (more…

The supposed to be the Philippine representative to the upcoming Miss World Beauty Pageant to be held in Johannesburg, South Africa on December 14, Bb. Pilipinas-World 2008 Janina San Miguel has decided to quit, because of the sudden death of her grandfather.

Binibining Pilipinas Charities Inc. (BPCI) issued an official statement Monday night as follows:

“The untimely demise of her grandfather, among other personal reasons, has caused her undue stress, thus hindering her from fulfilling her duties for the said title… BPCI wishes to express its gratitude to Ms. San Miguel for this act of graciousness and concern for the country. They also wish her well in her future endeavors.”

The Binibining Pilipinas 2008 first runner-up Danielle Castaño will take over Janina’s duties as the country’s representative to the Miss World 2008, as per the rules and regulations of the BPCI.

The Pinoy Dream Academy has ended. Unfortunately, I wasn’t able to watched The Grand Dream Night coz I’m still at the office and my shift will end by 11pm. (so bad… )
